Bastards of Funk is by no means a rookie in the business, he has produced music under different monikers for over 14 years, everything ranging from drum n bass to ambient to techno, but always comes back to what he loves the most: house in all its shapes and forms. With many releases on highly respected labels, it has led to appearances on both the Swedish radio and television with videos aired on MTV, as well as playing live at the biggest festivals in Sweden. His tracks have received huge support from DJs such as Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto, Dave Seaman, Hernan Cattaneo, Anthony Papa and Satoshie Tomiie just to name a few. In 2008 he started the successful label lowbitrecords together with LA based Sonic Union, concentrating on quality releases ranging from deephouse to tech and electrohouse.
Johan Berg has been a DJ for over 10 years. He found housemusic in the late 90s and was amazed by its potential. He has been thru all styles of house as the music developed with time. He has been booked to clubs and festivals in Denmark, Estonia and of course Sweden. Sun Dance Music Festival with 30.000 visitors, Sub7, What Happens to name a few. He has played with a wide range of DJs such as Tiesto, Henrik B, Paul Hazendonk, Niki Belucci and Marshall Jefferson. He was promoter and DJ at the weekly club night Fever, nominated for best club at Swedish deejay awards in 2007. Johan Berg is quite new as a producer, but definitely one to remember for the future. He has got several releases coming up.
